A drone pilot has captured astonishing footage of dolphins swimming along the beaches of Australia.
Steve Maxwell spotted the magnificent beings gracing the beaches in Sydney while he was out with his DJI Phantom Pro 3.
He says around 40 dolphins were swimming between Avalon and Whale Beach last week.
Maxwell, who is licensed with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA), told the Daily Telegraph: “Every available chance I get, I send the drone up over them."
He described the dolphins as being around 200 metres offshore, "hunting and catching waves."
